Okay, so on to one of our new favorite smoothie. So I know I know, my last smoothie that was nutritionally dense wasn’t necessarily wasn’t a favorite for everyone. But this simple green smoothies is awesome and I really think everyone will like it. And it’s kid approved! Tate loved it!
Our future photographer…
First blend well (on super high with the Vitamix for a min or two):
- Some coconut water (about half a small box)
- Almond or light coconut milk (about 1/4 cup)
- Spinach and kale (2-3 handfuls each)
- 1 tbsp flax seeds
- Juice from a lemon or lime or about 1 tbsp, juice
Then toss in:
- a big scoop of ice
- 1 med green apple cored
- 1/2 – 1 banana (more if you want sweeter)
Feel free to also add in some coconut oil, nut butter, or protein powder.
Blend well and enjoy!
Not too much sugar and yet, still so delicious!! We had this after the pool and it was such a refreshing snack!
